ABOUT NATIONAL SURGERY REVIEW

The Certifying Examination of the American Board of Surgery is the culmination of testing that for many candidates occurs after nearly 2 decades of studies. The importance of this “seal of approval” and the mystique of this daunting examination is well understood by surgeons who have consistently strived to accumulate the knowledge and skills necessary to care for their patients. Along the way, other testing, including the In-Training and Qualifying exams give candidates an idea of their grasp of surgical knowledge base. Such written tests are easier to standardize and due to their familiarity may envoke less stress for the examinee. The oral examination is different and requires not only the knowledge exhibited by candidates who pass the qualifying examination but the ability to delivery the answers in an effective and organized manner which displays the candidate’s understanding of the principles of general surgery.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to prepare candidates for all the examinations administered by the American Board of Surgery including the In-Training, Qualifying, Certifying and Re-Certifying exams in an effective and ethical manner. Our leadership and meticulously selected faculty do not boast business backgrounds but extensive experience and interest in surgical education. We prioritize to maintain the stability and integrity of our faculty roster, an element which sets us apart from the competition. In addition our business is to review solely SURGERY and not to provide courses for all specialties. Our variety of products are highly focused for the appropriate examination and are delivered in various formats including live courses, web-based on-demand lectures, live webcasts, digital books, printed materials and audio lectures.  This provides busy clinicians with the convenience and efficiency necessary to make a feasible commitment for successful exam preparation.
